About Chad
Chad Perkins
Chad Perkins is a Dover-Foxcroft native, U.S. Army veteran, and current Maine State Representative for House District 31 who has spent his career in public service — first in uniform and now in the State House. Rooted in the small towns and working landscapes of Piscataquis County, Chad understands the challenges facing rural Maine families because he lives them every day. He knows what it means to stretch a budget, navigate a broken bureaucracy, and fight for communities that too often feel forgotten by Augusta.
As a sitting state legislator, Chad has built a track record of showing up, working across the aisle when it matters, and putting the practical needs of his constituents ahead of political theater. His military background instilled in him a discipline and mission-first mindset that he brings directly to his legislative work — getting things done rather than just talking about them. Now Chad is running for Maine Senate District 4 to carry that same work ethic and those same Maine values to a bigger stage.
Chad is running because he believes rural Maine deserves a strong, experienced voice in the State Senate — someone who has already proven they can do the job. He is committed to protecting property rights, expanding economic opportunity in the North Woods region, keeping government out of the way of hardworking Mainers, and ensuring veterans and working families get the support they've earned. When you send Chad Perkins to the Senate, you're sending someone who has already served — and is ready to serve again.
